Homer Davis Project

Homer Davis Elementary School serves nearly 500 students in K-6 grades, nearly 90% of whom live at or below the poverty line.  Thanks to the Homer Davis Project, students have access to snack and meal packs, backpacks, school supplies, and homework help. We are also undertaking campus beautification projects. JCRC relies on Jewish community agencies, the business community, individual donors and, especially, those in the school district’s zip code of 85705 to sustain this ongoing community-wide partnership.

Mitzvah Magic

In 2009, the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona and Jewish Family & Children’s Services started a program that brings together our community to create baskets of food and gifts for Jewish families in need several times a year. The anonymity of the families is closely guarded. Since then, Mitzvah Magic circles have helped between 18 and 26 families each year, by providing much needed donations delivered in time for the High Holy Days, Channukah and Passover.
